Textures, particularly those found in nature are a connecting theme in my work applied to both functional and whimsical.

Sculpted in Stoneware clay, my ongoing series of "Wise Old Birds" will be shown. The inspiration for these sculptures has come from my enjoyment of and fascination in watching the different birds that visit our yard. These "Wise Old Birds" have human attributes mingled with their bird forms, making them wise old souls. Some will perch above the flowers on rebar, others will sit on stacked granite.

Along with the "Wise Old Birds" will be birdbaths and "Butterfly Puddling Dishes,"  also on granite with copper swirls around them. "Potheads" (No not the ones listed in the dictionary!) come in different sizes and textures, hanging on the side of a pot. These were inspired by the first "fiber-optic grass" that I bought. It just begged to have a face under it!
