Frances Alvarino Norwood
We have Frances Alvarino Norwood to thank for the Larkspur Party. It is her hard work all year long that makes the show come together.  Frances owns a gardening company and works as an artist, sharing two of her many passions with the world. Over the years she has had many influences, inspiring different lines of sculptures. She has created "Fishwives" mythical women who were disguised as fish to lure unsuspecting fishermen out to sea. Her "Caterpillar Women" were part caterpillar, part joyful women. Frances' work comes in many influences, shapes, sizes and colors, just as we do. Through them all you can see the simply innate beauty in the female form and the incredible strength and spirit that Frances builds into each of her women.

Frances can usually be found in the garden, in her studio or out riding her bicycle with her friedns and family. Her spirit and sense of humor can always be seen sparkling in her eyes. Born in Georgia, she is one of the few remaining people out there still showing true southern hospitality, always trying to do something special for others. It is in this spirit that she opens her gardens for the enjoyment of everyone every June for this amazing show.

Frances will be marrying John Norwood this spring.
